I’m mostly into restoring military vehicles, but have a weakness for anything tracked. But when I get a call that someone is going to scrap an old D4 if they can’t sell it and the pictures of the cat show she’s painted OD green…… well you know the rest!

Hey Daryl, looks like you have several Cats of that vintage. I also have a 2T with a cable blade as well. I also managed to find a couple of Clark air dozer CA-1. Heading down tomorrow to pick up the rest of the parts.

Hi Don,
I like the Clark Airboure dozers they a small and compact, do they run or are they future project.

Only a few weeks ago I picked up a 5T to add to the collection this is the last one I was looking for, all except the 7U are narrow gauge.

Regards

Daryl

Daryl I have 2 one runs the other one will run, just finished rebuilding my shop, time to start restorations. I guess at some point I need to stop dragging all this old iron home. Just can’t let it go to scrap!

Finished bringing home the rest of the parts, it came with a parts cat. It helps to have a “on  call” crane operator. Hope to start working on her this winter.

grandma threatened dad and grandad no more old engines are coming home she said it for years and another would come home. mum said it to us too so the next thing that came home was the d4 "your not bringing that in the yard, you do and i'll sell it" our reply "if you can start it, then you can shift it" she never has started it. it left and now i have a old turret lathe in the yard.

its a old adage no matter how big the shed we always manage to fill it up.

Bursitis, I had heard that. This cat still has stenciling on the hydraulic system. I also found the remnants of hood numbers which I hope I can bring up.
