With Toby's full agreement, we now have links to all of his Caterpillar related videos listed in the library with descriptions.
There is an absolute wealth of information in them for anyone restoring or repairing a D2 tractor.

See below.

I'd suggest before you pull the pump for rebuilding, find a good working gauge and test what pressure it is actually developing, from memory they run around 15 pounds, but I'm usually wrong.
Removing and rebuilding a good pump would be a waste of valuable time and money, unless you have plenty of both......

Thank you all for the info, I watched Toby's video last night and now believe that I can do the job if needed. I am near the point of getting the blade on so hopefully I can put some heat in it and correct the "slobbering" and see how the machine works with "low" fuel pressure. Thank you all and Toby too! Toby, I really find your videos interesting and helpful. I am not afraid of the work but some instruction is useful and much appreciated. Elton

Hi Elton,
Take a look at the Chapters page (not the Chapter News on the forum), click the second from the left black box near the top of the screen entitled "Chapters" and you will see an interactive map showing members locations down to the nearest town. See below.
You can zoom in on particular areas.

I'm way up there in the blue area near the place that is two week from everywhere. "a damn geographical oddity."
