Thanks Daryl and Tony, I actually got a patch made for that hole and welded it in with nickel rods, and got a good bellhousing from Ozdozer, so the tractor is back up and running with new cylinder liners, piston rings, reconditioned head, and rebuilt pilot motor, plus I had to replace the crown wheel, the old one had a few missing teeth....

Good job I removed the flywheel housing.. Coolant passage in the block pretty full of crud like the front one..cleaned it out and can feel suction if I stick a vacuum cleaner nozzle over the hole from the front where the water
pump goes and also from the block drain on the side. Tempted to pull the head to clean even more but where does it end!
