Steering clutch replacement is a weekend job if you have a backhoe or a chain-fall hoist to do the lifting (of cable unit and clutches). The two cover plates under the fuel tank/seat is where they are located. Remove about 16, 3/8" bolts to get the cover plate off then remove the brake band and use a bottle jack under the grouser cleat at the sprocket to roll the tractor forward enough to get to the bolts holding the steering clutch to the bevel gear shafts flange and final drive pinion flange. When you use the bottle jack under the dozer cleat at the sprocket it won't take much movement to get from one bolt to the next. I pump the jack with my foot so i can watch everything turn. Removing the cable unit makes it much easier but its not necessary. There is a small access plate on the main frame above the final drive held in place with two 3/8" bolts. You'll have to remove it to get to the bolts holding the FD pinion gear flange to the steering clutch.
