Removing pilot motor and replacing with 24 volt starter. D74T. I have removed 11 x 3/8 bolts including the two under pilot clutch housing. The unit is loose however seems to be binding around diesel motor clutch housing. Have I missed something. There are no bolts in the starter transmission
housing.
Any help much appreciated.
Regards
Ray

What are you going to do with the pony Ray? And what's your location?

Hi Neil
I am in Queensland Aust. One cylinder was using oil then the 6 volt starter burnt out. There is a guy who sells the conversion who has sold a
lot of units. Decided to go that way.

Good suggestion Neil, I need a starter motor for a RD6 but I don't think the D7 one will fit sadly, but there might be someone in Oz who could use it even as a parts donor.

I cannot believe the location of the bolts holding this pony on to the engine and clutch housing. Thanks to Ol Magnet for the info. I have one bolt
to go. I have cut up spanners to get to the bolt. Ran out of daylight tonite. 10 pound sledge hammer might be the go when it comes out. All good fun
though.
