While I was searching through my inventory of tractor lamps and I found a number of these lamps.  The light (bulb) is 6.5" in diameter but I don't know where I got them or for which tractor.
Can someone identify it?

Those are "Guide Lights" used on early Caterpillar and International Harverster tractors.
Typical of units with D3400, D4400, D4600 engines and others possibly earlier.
The ones you have look more like the ones used on IH but typically found their way to Cats.
Differences are subtle and I can't say if it was just differences in production.       

I was checking the "Chriscomachinery.com" to find our which tractors used the D4400 and D4600 and coincidently, his photograph of what looks to be a 3J D2 has these lights.


     

I can tell you they were on Diesel 35s pretty good lights but heavy they fit those tractors, an older tractor with newer lights looks odd out of place! 17afarmer
