Hello all i purchased a D8H back in Jan. of this year. Cat is not new to me ive owned a D4D for years. Im trying to find more info on my D8 The serial number is 46A1734. I belive the machine started life with a pony motor but has been changed to direct start.. i was wondering about year of machine and such. i understand from the pervious owner it came from some dept of agriculture in Kentucky. It was in Kentucky when i bought it and now is in Tennessee. Moving it proved to be fun due to its size. Its a running pushing machine. Any help would be great. Thanks

What attachments does it have? For example, does it have a blade - if so, what's the serial #? Is it cable operated (probably), or hydraulic? If it's cable, is the cable control on the fron t or the rear? If the front, does it have any attachments on the rear, such as a ripper? Photos are good

Excellent, there are some keen eyes on here that can give you a decent amount of info based on what they see : ) That blade and the hydraulic control may also have model/serial # plates on them. On my D2, the serial # is on the rear side of the blade, on the right side when you're in the operator's seat. No idea on the hydraulic control but someone will chime in
