Hi, Folks.
Here is a link to a video on Youtube about a tug-o-war between a late 1940s-early50s Italian Vender crawler and a 1980s-90s Fiat (Fabrique Italiano Automobili Torino) 120C crawler which is probably around 1 1/2 times the horsepower of the older Vender. AS I understand it, Vender later 'disappeared' into the Allis Chalmers conglomerate.
Enjoy.
Just my 0.02.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

That wasn't even close to a fair fight, pretty impressive. I can see why Vender disappeared, if I had competition like that I'd want it to disappear too.

Hi, dependzic.
Ain't no use having all that grunt if'n yer cain't put it on ther ground. It'z all about static balance and weight transference under load. I never got to operate any of the earlier Fiat crawlers but I did get to operate an AD 12 and a BD14. Even as dozers, both of these were light on the front. I found the same thing with a John Deere 850 hydrostatic dozer that I played with at a demonstration field day way back when - about 1982.
