Could someone tell Me what the Thread Base is on the Ensign BEV Carb Fuel adjusting Screw [3B64e ] it is 32 TPI X 1/4 "and none of My books tell Me what it is [Like UNF etc] We are Making New 3B46e Fuel Controls. May have to make the Thread a little Coarser ,That would mean Making New Screws as well, Which I don't think should Be a Problem. Any Help appreciated . LJ

Hi Lance,
threads are a can of worms for Carbies and the like--sometimes the maker used their own thread system--sheesh-- just to bamboozle us all.

It seems from Googling that 1/4" x 32TPI can be either UNF 60 Degrees thread form angle or also can be Whitworth 55 Degrees thread form angle.

Being a American Company one would be fairly safe to assume it will be a UN thread form.

Good luck.
Cheers,

be careful it may be uns united national special. a full thread chart is hard to find. some extra fine threads are what is known as British Aircraft though mostly British stuff use those threads.

any good machinists supply should be able to get what ever size you need.
