Does anybody have the counter bore depth for a D4600? Mine are .402"-.403" and my new cylinder sleeves are protruding around .050". They are aftermarket sleeves, the copper gasket is Cat. Something is way off. I didn't measure the protrusion on the old sleeves and now wish I had. But just by eyeball, they looked about right. I knew something was wrong when I put the new one in. Could have used a tape measure.
Thank you and Happy New Year

I looked back at the notes I made and my counterbores measured about .394-.395. The liners were out when I got it but the new ones going back have about .010ā-.011ā of protrusion . Cat liners ,7b4348 and cat copper seal . Iām not sure why you would have that much protrusion

My mistake was not torquing the fixture down to 50 foot pounds. That brought it down to .005" on the high side and .002" on the low side. Rotating the sleeve in the bore, and then switching the sleeve altogether did not resolve the issue. So now I have a can of worms. All the counter bores have similar variation in the measurements. Because they are already at minimums on one side, machining them flat probably will then require the block deck to be brought down, which means it should then be bore-aligned and the piston rods adjusted.
Oy vey!
