The indicated plug looks like the steel cased oil level plug with window on my mill.
My roadside find compressor has a similar unit but it is plastic and failed from heat--brittle.
The glass is likely discolored over time--remove an clean it.
Have no experience of the F series here in Australia just as Deas points out--I also believe that the very few here were imported as used units.
Cheers,
Eddie B.

Hi, edb.
I only ever saw one F series grader in Australia. It was a 112F and it belonged to an outfit named Houlihan in Perth. I worked alongside it for 2 days in early 1969 resurfacing Ascot racecourse in Perth and never hadda chance to get on it. I was on an 8T 12 at the time.
Just my 0.02.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

here's my 2 cents this morning. I have the same beast and when i bought it from the local township that must have had a zero Maintenance program. I tried to change all fluids and give it some love. One thing I missed is the gearbox under your feet. drain and refill when you can. replacing that gear is costly as I am finding out.
