Hello everyone: Reaching out her on the BB Discussion Page, rather than For Sale section, in regards to selling "Singer" the CAT 30 that has touched many lives.
The full story may follow later. I am having a difficult time putting it in words, as many of you know, I love to ramble!
Short end of it is: I am selling the 30 at a Putman Auction 12-4-20 thru 12-8-20 via their online site; tractor is staged at their Colusa, CA viewing yard, which a potential buyer(s) may view in person, on online on their auction website when it is posted.
Serial #762, DOB or build date to some of you, was 6-11-1928 stamped on the casing.
Tractor starts, runs, steers and brakes. Has new Hahn seat cushions (quite comfy I might add, Thx., John H.)
It has been a LOT of fun having her around, but I am getting older, and have enough toys and other items to last any children or grandkids that I may NOT be aware of!
Time to do something better with "her". I will just say for personal reasons, I have decided it is best to let her go to a better home.
Do I need the money? Not hardly, but I did come to the realization, that "Singer" can help others.
So............... I want to help out another ACMOC member and others!***Lets see some solidarity here, and help another please?***
Singer's proceeds will used to help fund the Margery Magill Memorial Fund, which was created in 2019 to help aspiring students with their continuing educations. The fund has been made available by ACMOC member (and IH fan, ho hum) Jeff M. and his wife Bonnie. There isn't enough space or time to read about the wonderful family and how they have impacted lives. They were dealt a bad hand. Their reward was Margery being a victim of a random slaying. Rather than dwell on their/everyone's loss, they continue to help others! Is that awesome or WHAT?
Why did I choose the MMFund? The tractor originally came here the long way, and originated from the school they taught at, and continue helping kids to this day!
I find it fitting to have Singer make the full circle and come back to help, as the entire family has in many ways. The 30 at age 92 still gets to live on, unlike their daughter...
Her memory won't be forgotten though. New life for an old tractor.
Its a win/win for all: tractor gets a new, more loving home; new owner gets a cool piece of history; memorial fund gets to keep helping students hone their minds! Lastly, Margery's own dreams of helping children, animals and the rights of human beings will have not gone in vain...
As an added bonus, if any individual here buys the 30, I will provide donations to the charity of your choice/ACMOC/your local chapter/OR?
I will make myself available for any questions or concerns:
