Stuck main clutch splined plate

Stuck clutches are my thing! New D2 project 5U12016 everything stuck! Did get the steering clutch brakes free so that it rolls, early on. Removed the engine, that took 2 days. Ended up breaking some of the fiber disk teeth. Main clutch is free and adjusts and snaps in OK, I am going to replace the the fiber drive disk.
The challenge now is to remove the front drive plate that is on the input shaft. Does anyone that has been thru this have method or tool that they made to pull the plate. Rusted on to the input.shaft.

thanks for your help,

Herb

You're talking about 5B2521 Plate Assembly right? You have removed the nut but the plate is stuck on the splines. I'd pressure wash up the splines and wiggle the plate - the water will loosen up the rust and it should slide right off. Failing that, heat and penetrating oil. Also, if you can get it there, some kind of a light hammer action like a concrete drill to rattle it

Cheers,

Yeah, "Like a concrete drill!" It is the later one but no matter. rust seized on the shaft. No play. 2F5828 is available new aftermarket. BUT I do not want to send men down with cases of dynamite. This is part of the old time mechanics training..
