The OTC 7308 seems to come with two interchangable jaws, one 3/8" thick and one 3/4" thick. The OTC 7309 has one jaw only. They seem to have the same capacity but for some reason the 7308 is a lot chaeper.
I'll have to keep a search on e-bay.....maybe I'll get lucky too.

Facom makes a similar one too that has a capacity up to 12 3/4" but it's more expensive.

Good spot with the Facom not cheap though! I did wonder why the 7308 is cheaper as it seems more versatile with the 2 jaws.

funny I was just looking for one of them myself. the 7309 has a closed-end to keep the hook in place we the other one is just one-sided easy for manufacturing, but that also put the pin in single shear so it will not be very strong is there any play. can someone tell me the pin size I think I will just try and make one?

My OTC CT-686 spanner is the "closed end" style. Not a pin but is a 1/2" bolt with 1" shank and 1/2" of slow threads. No grade markings on the head.
I tried making several in the shop and was not successful. Ended up getting the right tool.
