Guys I need some help I have diesel getting in the engine. We replaced the transfer pump thinking the seals where bad in it. Let it sit for a few weeks and it has drained probably 10-15 gallons into the engine. It just started doing this a few months ago. And we thought it was the seal between the fuel and Tfer pump so we replaced the seals. Then we thought it was from running so we replaced the pump. But now we know for sure it is happening while sitting. I want to fix it right. Do not want to have to remember to shut the tank off every time.

Where do we look?

I'm not near my parts book, but I think there's some o-rings between the injector pump and the front of the engine where it bolts up that can get hard and leak into the oil. It's a joy getting that rear bolt out behind the pump.

Yea I was able to pull governor cover off and put a little air on the inlet fuel line and found the leak running down the back of the casting where the fuel from the filter housing goes through into the injector housing.

Think I’m going to pull injectors at same time and have them cleaned again since we got rust in the system from the tank a while back. I think filters caught most of it but since I’m already doing this I might as well

DWC7, while you have the pump off, check the cleanliness of the gallery inside the fuel pump body. Mine had a ton of crud in there (D2 - different design but still used dirty diesel)

Cheers,
