Cat 22 spring covers was created by hfdzl

Has any one ever seen the spring boots for a 22? The books show a ghostly image . It looks to have a sheet metal part and a leather flex part.

Any help here? Almost done with my R2 need these to finish. Anybody anywhere.

Herb, John Hahn used to make the leather boot section, they are a simple tube secured with a wire clamp each end.
