Any one know the proper press fit for 22/R2/D2 pins and bushings / Is .010 too much?

That's way to much. Rule of thumb is about 0.001" per inch of diameter. At 0.003" heat will be required for assembly. I'd say about 0.002 to 0.003 would be about right.

excellent rule of thumb Mr.Magnet....it doesn't take a lot of interference fit to stay in place....unless you like crazy force..

I also looked around on the web. I was taught .001 per inch. That seemed too light. Was going to try .005
.003 sounds even better.
