I finally registered again and thought I would get around to printing out the thread titled "Pony carb rebuild in progress". I cant seem to get the search feature to work. I can enter the original poster "Jw 74" and the original date and title and I get some of my references to the post, but not the original thread. Since I tend to do very poorly with computers, does anyone have better luck on this than me? Grant.

I dont think it is you. This new website does not work very well. Does anyone know why the searches dont work from Google either? Most of the time I would use google to find the threads I wanted to see in the ACMOC website. Now that doesnt work. Anyone know when that functionality will return?

The search works fine - unfortunately I don't think that thread made the migration so it's a lack of data rather than search not working. I've put in a request to see if it's been imported. For the goggle search, it might be that the site hasn't been crawled over yet by their robots to catalog it. They won't be able to get everything because some of the content is for members only and goggle doesn't have a login.

Sure hope we do not lose old threads like these. Lots of good stuff was there if you took the time to look. One of the big reasons to become a member, just to have access to info like what was on that thread. Would be a real shame to lose stuff like that and the photos that go with them.

Hi Mike, nothing's lost - it's just a matter of whether it migrated, or migrated cleanly. I have a ticket open to see if this particular thread can be found using the original search terms.
And if BruceOz would like to step in as Librarian, we'd all raise three cheers for that! : ) Just joking Bruce but thanks for finding that thread anyway
Cheers,

How about adding the availability of editing the "topic heading" as in this one - "Search Feture"? I wanted to change this in one of my posts and can't edit anything on that line.
