Finally got around to comparing the clutch plates, the D2 4U steering clutch plate is smaller than the 2 Ton plate, plus as you can see, the teeth are completely different.

There's a ACMOC member here in Oz called "Willsy", he had new 2 Ton clutch plates cut a few years ago out of saw blade steel, I reckon he had spares available and the price wasn't ridiculous.
If you get stuck, put a post in the Wanted section, someone Stateside will have spares I'm sure, they made around 10,000 of those tractors originally, so they are not rare.
The D2 4U / 5U plate is 10" across, I'd be very surprised if the 3J / 5J were any different.
