There is no guarantee that the extra plates that were supposed to be D2 actually were just because they were in the D2 pile. It is surprising that there would have been 2 Ton parts there but anything is possible. Are all early D2 the same size?

What about steering clutches in a 10, 20, anyone have the diameters of them? Grasping at straws at this point as I doubt we have enough good pieces to reline.

There's a ACMOC member here in Oz called "Willsy", he had new 2 Ton clutch plates cut a few years ago out of saw blade steel, I reckon he had spares available and the price wasn't ridiculous.

If you get stuck, put a post in the Wanted section, someone Stateside will have spares I'm sure, they made around 10,000 of those tractors originally, so they are not rare.

The D2 4U / 5U plate is 10" across, I'd be very surprised if the 3J / 5J were any different.

Hi All
I just measured a D4 steering clutch and it is 12 1/8 inches across and the thickness is 21/64 and a sintered bronze is 11/64.
