here you go John. the ad says it is a fresno but that is what some folks called them all. i have a feeling it could be a dearborn? but anyway you can study the pics

That is like the one I have. I think I have it figured out. The one piece I thougt was bent on purpose is straight on your picture, which would theroreticly move the latch pin forward and into the hole.

if you are talking about that spring guide i agree. i found several photos of models similar to yours and the guides were all straight.
