I don’t think the “wheel” components changed much but the booster/actuator, master cylinder and lines changed several times over the production run, so a serial number is going to be essential for that part.
Standing on the ground by the steps to get on it, left side, he should see the serial number plate on the flat side of the machine under the bulge where the boom pivot pins are.

We now have a Serial Number from "the other left side" .... 59A2857
Does anyone have a parts breakdown for the brakes and final drive area so we can see what we are dealing with ?
Any help you could give us would be appreciated.

Some scans from the service manual, not the best quality as it doesn't fit in the scanner too well. The scan from the parts book is from a later 88J series, but should be essentially the same.
