Hello All
I have just purchased some parts from a 955L to use on my 955K. The serial number on the back of the bevel gear case is 71J3772M. Can anyone tell me what year the 955L is? Also what does the M mean at the end of the serial?

Regards

Phil

71J3772 is a 1972 production model, have no idea what the "M" is for.
The 71J went from "K" to "L" model at s/n 71J3198.

Thanks, that makes sense as it's a Japanese built machine.

Thanks OM and Rusted.
Do you know if they were completely built in Japan or just assembled there? Were parts cast at multiple foundries or at one and shipped to the various countries for assembly?

Totally sourced in Japan is my understanding.

If you are ordering parts there is no need to quote the M, just the serial.
