D4 2T final drive fillers

Just wondered if my 2T final drive fillers are CAT parts? If so what machine are they from? Not sure how oil level in the final drive would be checked with these long necks. Can’t find them in the parts catalogs. I seem to remember seeing them in an operator’s manual but can’t locate it and may be wrong.. anyone seen them before?

I’m getting a parts machine backend to rob the draw bar (mine was extended badly) and brake pedals from so was going to put the hex headed fillers from that on but before I do I thought I’d check if they’re original.

Regards,

Tony

Not familiar with your long necked fillers, but the “horseshoe” for the drawbar is common for an orchard seat tractor. The brackets for the chassis mounting are homemade; those longer drawbars are handy when one has an auxiliary hydraulic pump mounted on the back, more clearance. JM

Interesting, it came with a LaPlant Choate front mounted hydraulic pump and a rear connections. I was guessing they’d extended the drawbar for a mole drain or something. It was used in forestry here in the UK as it has a Forestry Commission Tag in the hood.

I wonder if it had a winch on it Tony, for logging? My D4 7J has a extended drawbar like yours, it's handy when trying to hook up implements behind, you can see the drawbar pin hole much easier.
