I have no adjustment left in my rails, and I'm looking to replace them with aftermarket ones. I have extreme duty Cat pads that should last another set of rails. Has anybody run into trouble with the pad holes and the track holes not lining up? And what aftermarket brand would be the better choice?
I am doing good to put 200-300 hrs a year on this machine. Thanks for
any input!

Berco or Cat Classic, some cheep rails are not pressed together correctly and will bind up. Genuine Cat sealed rails, not SALT rails, are not much more than aftermarket.

Rome,
So what's the difference between SALT and CAT sealed rails? On the Cat website the Yellow Mark brand (Cat Classic) was $3591 per side. It said they were SALT.
Thanks

Sealed And Lubricated Track. They have oil between the pin and bushing where the sealed just have metal washers that keep the dirt out and can get squeaky as can be. You can check with the track service rep at Cat and he should be able to help with getting the right pitch and bolt hole size for your tractor. They will even come out and do a complete undercarriage measurement check. If you go through the track rep he can usually get you a better price also.

The Cat Rep is coming out tomorrow. So the Cat non lubricated could be better than a cheap SALT off brand?
