I believe its a 1958.
I need a top carrier roller. Early bronze bushing style.
Transfer fuel pump repair kit.
Some track pads and a skid plate.
Immediately need roller and pump kit (diaphram leaks fuel from relief tube)
Any help is appreciated.

Hi Sting,
if you include a Serial Number we could maybe help you--Cat goes by S/No and not years as Cat made production parts upgrades/changes over the life time run of each item they produced.
As far as I am aware I never saw a diaphragm used in a Cat gear type transfer pump that was fitted standard to your machine.

Others in the States should be able to point you to Undercarriage parts suppliers.
Maybe try Florin Tractor Parts Inc.
Cheers,
Eddie B.

If it's not a diaphram, what Do you think would cause the fuel to leak out of the open relief tube coming fromt he transfer pump?
Any help is really appreciated.

Hi Sting,
by using the Advanced Search function at the top right of the page you can often find what you are after with some effort.

This 5 odd page link needs to be read fully to understand about re-packing the tranf. pump.
Sorry I do not have a parts book for the 933,D2,D311 engine to help further.
The tools shown in the scans of the link below can easily be made, as I have done in the past.
The new style packings must only be compressed to aid them to initially seal--if you hammer the tamping tool, as was done with the previous rope packings, the new woven material packing will de-laminate and not seal.
The packings need to be compressed as the spring used to deform the packing as it wears has not enough power to initially seat the packings.

The Servicemen's Reference Book for the D311 engine is Form No 30524--usually found on here or EBay, etc. for sale--Parts Books for your 933 also.

Cheers,
Eddie B.

What could happen if I plugged the end of the tube that's dripping?
The machine runs fine otherwise.

Hi Sting,
blocking of the drain line can cause the leaking fuel to pass by the other engine oil sealing packing on the transfer pump shaft and so dilute your engine oil with catastrophic engine bearing and other component failure as the result.
This is why the space between the packings is drained.
Cheers,
Eddie B.
