Hello again, just need some advice about my dozer again, I was using it yesterday too fix the dam wall and after I’d finished I shut it down but I could hear something still rolling/moving inside, I had the clutch disengaged at the time, so I decided to start it again and then stop it with the clutch engage but this time it wasn’t making that noise, what could be wrong with the clutch, thanks for any advice given, troy

The clutch pressure plate etc and transmission input shaft tend to rotate with the clutch disengaged. That’s why you have a clutch brake to stop that so you don’t grind the gears when you shift into a gear. So you have all that stuff as well as anything mounted on the rear of the tractor (PTO, winch etc) that might be windmilling along and continue for a few seconds after the engine stops if you have the clutch disengaged.
D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time:D
