No. 12 Motor Grader was created by seyser
I rented a truck from my boss this weekend and hauled some old iron home. 8T655 makes it a 1947 model. Diesel runs nice with a pull start. The pony will need attention as well as plenty of other things. Engine meter shows 26,278 hrs.

Thanks, Toby! I was curious what the included engine panels would look like installed so quick hung them on there for the pictures. I’m guessing these were for the winter months? I notice there is also a lever in the cab to control shutters for the radiator.

Are there 5 digit service meters?

I agree with Toby, very nice looking grader. Hope you don’t find any nasty surprises as you’re going through it.

Anyone know what the rectangular box/chimney? on the right rear corner of the cab is?

D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time:D

Looks like an extra fuel tank.

Nice. Looks like an old snow fighter. View of the heater in the cab, it may be a gas fired Southwind heater and would need a fuel supply. D318 engine. We ran side engine panels year round. Stops sand from whipping through the radiator with the push fan. We had sand and snow to deal with.

The object hanging off the rear of the cab is a reserve diesel fuel tank. It has a valve on the bottom and is plumbed to a fitting added on top of the standard under seat tank. Suppose it was an extra few gallons to get you through a long winter night.

It will get through the night on 50 gallons of fuel. It was probably added because the lax city/county workers don't check their fuel at start of shift. Had to deal with lots of them. Oh my,, It just ran out of fuel. Cant imagine why. Sorry guys, had to vent. Must be why I retired young.

Haha I’m sure that happened plenty. Could anyone tell me a part number for the oil filters? I still need to get a parts manual coming for this one.
