Hello again, I got the old girl fitted up with the new 24v starter, sorted a few track rollers out and solved the mystery of the left hand steering clutch and now I’m asking for help, does anyone know of an alternative for the fuel strainer that sits inside the tank and strains the fuel as it goes in, thanks, troy

Yes, several folks have added spin-on filters in the line between tank and lift pump. I wasn’t aware there was a strainer in the bottom of the tank, but I think that’s a good thing that would keep larger stuff out of the lift pump gears.

The strainer sits under the screw on cap for the diesel, i would like to know if theres any other alternative s to the cat one, 5B3693, that i could use as the news ones are hard to get and if they can they are pretty expensive, thanks

The only things Bunnings or any of the FEW other remaining hardware chains there might have would likely be strainers from the tanks of spray units. Even then, a farm supply place would likely be a better bet - might hafta settle for something plastic there.

I still think Lance Jones is the best bet.
