Juiceman,

I haven seen a shop with that many tail seats lined up since the 90’s when there was a San Jose based packing shed that had a rather large apricot ranch out this way. Unfortunately we traded that market away and it’s now hard to find a good sweet cot now.

CR: we had some big players next door as well, majority of them all transplants from the San Jose area.
Rubino family aka Valley View Packing and the Danna clan which owned the tractors pictured. Several others that I’ve never met. I believe the D4D (less young lady) belongs to Johnny and Rich Perusina now, which still reside there. Thanks for the memories. JM

I agree, very nicely done!

I’m not sure what size would fit, but I really try to avoid those skinny batteries. I’ve got some old tractors that use them, so that’s why I have an opinion on them. I’m trying to get as many things as possible switched over to Group 31 stud connector batteries.

D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time:D

I want to keep the tractor as original as possible, and the original batteries were (2) type 3EE 12 volt batteries connected in series.
I agree that they are not ideal, but they were the original ones.

I use those also, just maintain a good charging system and they last a good while.

Nice work on the battery hold down. I have used WD-40 for years with good success to completely protect area of the batteries and cable ends from acid damage. Bill

i prefer the group 31 Stud Connector batteries too, i find them more flexible in different applications
