Check Breakers moved over here.

I thought I would move the front knocker/check breaker comments to this area of the bulletin board.
Good news, as I have sourced some for my D2 projects, thanks to a very nice member (you know who you are! Hahaha)
Someone once told me the name of the manufacturer, which I have long since forgotten.
Any ideas here? Skinner did show me some literature of ones offered by CAT way back in the gas era lines of crawlers. Was there more than one maker of these “accessories”? I have seen ones besides the ones in the photos.
BTW, I still need some for a D4....
Thank you everyone. JM

in the photo's i notice one of the tractors has a tow hook front mounted but doesn't have a crankcase guard. how does the hook mount???

It mounts to the oil pan and the front of the drawbar support bracket.

that is good to know. i was especially curious because i have been sewing some boggy ground using my D4 with the blade removed and was a little concerned that if i got stuck where would i pull from. i have a belly pan with a hook on it that i plan to install before i put the blade back on.

Probably best to pull from front spring near the track frame if needed.

an old dragline trick. bolt a cable or chain to the track and anchor the other end and drive out.
