i was discing with the D4 today and got to wondering about the drawbar configuration. mine has an extra hammer strap that i think might have a cushion inside but not sure. it bolts into the original drawbar through the hitch pin hole and extends about 8 inches further to the rear. it is a cast unit and looks like a caterpillar design. is this common??

Any photos to share? I’ve seen only one that looked “factory”. Others were homemade, and used to extend the drawbar for better clearance from say a hydraulic pump or other obstruction of the clevis.
I’d like to make a couple of them for my D2 and D4.
Never seen one in a parts book before. JM

i think the extension may be a hyster product. if you look at some of the D4 Hyster literature photos you can just barely see the extension. it is a cast piece so i don't think it is home made.

Aaaaaaannnddd I don’t have either one!!! Lol
Thanks everyone, the photos give me ideas now.
My Be-Ge pumps tend to be too close to the drawbar clevis, so that make perfect sense that they had some of their own to alleviate any situation as mine.
Thanks!
