I managed to get the whole lot from CAT last year for my D9G. Can get a bit tricky dealing with CAT if the sales person is only familiar with the later equipment as the drawings ect are completely different.

What ones are you missing? I needed 2 gears for mine. I got one new from Granger Tractor in the states. They don't ship international so used shipitto.com, however with the dollar at the moment that isn't going to be cheap. The used parts guy at cat sniffed the other one out for me (new) in NSW somewhere.

Cheers

If there are part#s on the bearings, that would maybe help.

Hi Team,
From memory this unit would be a Torque Converter drive Manual constant mesh Transmission unit.

From my D8 DD and T/C Drive Transmission/gearbox experience the bearings can either be needle roller bearings in early models and dimpled bronze bushes in up dated later units.
Paired Torrington needle roller bearings may be adaptable--just a silly thought on my behalf--if the roller brg. type.
These Roller Brgs. were getting to be unobtainium way back when so now who knows.

Adaptable Bushes may be available via BSC or similar bearing outlets-- your Mate may need to get inventive.

I am sure that the Dimpled bushes/bearings were of the type scanned below--pressed in, but, I see there are a full floating type available too. May need to grind and polish out gears to get good surface for the bushes and or diameter for bushes and same with the inner race or may need to sleeve the inner race with a made up sleeve to suit the bushes available--many possibilities depending on what is available.
The surfaces the bushes run on need to be basically a mirror finish polished surface finish, as Cat found with the 910 etc. Loader Trans clutches/drums/gears--cannot recall the Mu (I think it was called) finish needed now as I had to send them out to be done with the spec. supplied.
Maybe A call to the Dealer Technical Service Dept may get that data for you.
Cheers,
Eddie B.

Lots for bearings in there, roller and ball (10 count). No reason to suspect they are not available.
Have parts book if you need diagram.
