Delta KJ, from your latest manual page posted and from the photos that you showed earlier, It seems you have the priming pump that is shown in your last post. It puts diesel fuel directly into the manifold and doesnt require electricity or an ignition source or anything other than spraying fuel into the manifold. That pump you show is very similar to a standard aviation type priming pump that has been in use for almost a hundred years in light planes. I had not seen one on a Cat before but it makes perfect sense to help starting. Grant.

I just remembered that on an old John Deere 1010 crawler that I used to own, it had the exact same system. A manual priming pump that went straight into the manifold. Cold start rule was 4 to 6 pumps and then hit the starter. Worked great and was simple. Grant.

Delta KJ,
That is a good job of tieing down that CAT to the trailer. I don't believe in that hooking onto the inside of the front pads. I like the way that you run the chain thru the front idler too and the rear end is real good. Good job of tieing down. catskinner

If your fuel tank is plumb full it should fill the fuel system all the way to the injector bleeders by gravity. It takes a while but it will flow. I open the bleeder on the top of the filter tower first and bleed that far as that is a bigger bleeder and works quite fast.
