Sometimes you can take a punch and drive one edge in and cock the plug in the housing enough to grab it with pliers and pull it out. If that won’t work, drill a hole in it and stick a punch through to pry it out. Most plugs like that are standard items from a well equipped auto parts store.

as this plug is installed back to front in the shaft bore, maybe drill the plug and install a self tapping screw large enough that will fit down inside the shaft puller bolt thread and not catch in it--so the self tapper screw seats at the bottom of the shaft thread drilling --and use the S/T Screw to jack the plug out.
If the screw strips out and fails to pull the plug, maybe solder a thicker piece of sheet metal to the plug and try again.
This way if the plug is not available you can use it again after sealing it with another plate and solder.

Seem to recall they maybe brass--if so, another could easily be machined even if not brass.

Just some ideas I would likely try, depending on availability.
