D47U Pony Fuel Tank Filter attachment was created by BobD

What type of fit is used at the Pony Fuel Tank Filter connection, or in other words, is this a shrink/press fit or threads, as I do not see any indication of threads as I enlarge the broken piece of pot metal or aluminum that remains in this tank.
