I finally got back on here. Haven’t been on this forum since 2008. Here is a pic of my D2. Ser. 4U5233. I fire her up a couple times a year and do a little plowing. I would of never got this thing going if it wasn’t for the help of a few people on here. It was stuck everywhere possible. Took a lot of work but well worth it. Is there a guy named tractor Don still on this forum? I bought a set of brake drums from him. Also a lot of parts from Jim Zimmerman.

Tractor Don is still around. I bought some parts from him about 6 months ago. Good man to deal with. Grant.

Wow that's a long break Justin but good on you for getting it going again - it's very satisfying isn't it. Some pictures or video, and maybe a run-down of all the things you did to it and what challenges you had? Always like a good story.
Cheers,

Well I bought the tractor in 2003 from the original family. I had to rebuild the motor, starting motor was cracked and had to track another one down to rebuild. Then the transmission was stuck but I got it freed up. The steering clutch’s we’re stuck terribly. I had to cut the drums apart to get it apart that was a major project for me. But I had it running and driving in one year. I’ll find some of the pics when it was tore apart. I haven’t had much time to play with it with all the stuff going on. But when I get time it is fun stuff. I usually pull a 4 bottom trip plow with it. I would like to find a front hydraulic pump for it.

A couple years ago I had to pull the injection pump to replace the seals as it was getting diesel in the crankcase.

That all sounds par for the course Justin. Yes, finding the time to go out and enjoy them seems to be the problem for me. I'd rather be doing that than staring at a danged computer screen : )

Great job Justin. Nice straight tractor. I somehow vaguely remember (it’s been a while) our dealings.Glad to help.Jim Zimmerman is still around. I’m not on here as often as before and not sure why. I still work on Cats on a regular basis. I just don’t want to bore people🤓 Thanks for remembering me and Jim after all that time. Stick around. There’s some good stuff and good people here.
Was going to do my BBQ about this time but the covid thing kinda stopped that. Maybe later this year👍
Thanks Justin
