I ordered the parts to bypass the oil cooler on my D4 7U that you listed in a wanted thread. The plunger and spring that needs removed is that the oil cooler cold oil relief valve? I also have another question for you or someone else,I have a single valve 44 hydraulic unit that I cannot stop it from cavitating.I have followed the operators manual when refilling,changed the filter,and I have tried different oils.The only external leak I have is around at the top of the shaft for the control valve.Could this possibly be my problem?

Yes. The plunger # is 5B1691 and spring #5B3754, remove the small plate under the filter housing and remove them. The plugs for the filter base oil line outlets are 6B2731 and gaskets 8B3410.
The #44 unit is a pressurized system, I have replaced the single lip seal with two seals to help with leakage on the control shaft. I'm not sure what you mean by cavitating? Air in the system? Ole Mag may have some input on this problem also.

It will raise the dozer about 6 inches or so then it sounds like it's sucking air. It works fine raising all the way and lowering and the oil does foam,but it is very noisy.

Get a pressure gauge on the system and monitor what is going on. Seems something is restricting return oil flow.

Where is the best place to tap into this system?I have a diverter valve and couplers at the rear that I could check main relief pressure.

That's sounds like a worn out pump, low oil level or drawing air in from the control shaft seal. The oil level should be visible in the filler neck with blade lowered. Foamy oil is a sign its drawing air and mixing with the oil.

I know oil level is not the problem. I have even parked it on a slope with the left side up hill to make sure it was full. Worn pump is possible, I have no idea on the age of the pump.Dozer or my scraper move at a decent speed when loaded. Won't be able to check pressure for a couple of days.

Check on the suction side. I had a bunch of crud that looked like it was restricting suction. That would increase the susceptibility to draw in air from the pump shaft. You need to take off the cover and have a good look, so you'll need a new gasket and a paint scraper. Be thorough in your inspection because blockages can hide anywhere - start at the pickup and work your way forward methodically verifying that everything is clear. It picks up the oil from the bottom of the pump without a screen if I recall correctly and runs some of the output through a bypass filter, again if I recall correctly. After I cleaned the unit and replaced the seals, it seems to work just fine
