I do not mean to be trying to sell a certain brand of paint, but I have always run older equipment I like it better than the new stuff I am kind of self taught on this, I always do what ever repair that as needed and then Sandblast even a tractor tape everything up and just use a little caution when blasting I have never got sand in a transmission or engine done it for 40 years no trouble! Leaves a clean etched surface that takes paint. After going through all of this I want a good 2 part urathane preferably a polyurethane single stage I have found it to be easy for somebody like me to use and it will still look good in 20 years, I will NOT Spend ALL that time and money and put some kind of enamel that is left outside for any time at all in 2 years will look OLD Again!! Martin Senior has a couple urathane poly urathane lines that are good. 17afarmer Mike
