Over sized wrist pin plugs????

I have noticed that Cat made over sized wrist pins for many of their early gas tractors ( normally just one oversize.. 0.007" ). My question is why don't they make an oversize retainer plug for the wrist pin? The plug is a nice snug fit with the std pin but if you have the rod brg and the piston pin hole "licked" to suit the over sized pin then the plug will only have some interference with the small wings of the plug and not the round section of the plug. The only other option would be to have some buttons made to suit the ends of the pin to act as thrust buttons.

Any opinions out there on this?

Replied by AJ. on topic Plugs
The plugs were replaced by snap rings, see the video I put on YouTube.
