I have a question wht do you use to pull out a stuck one like that. Chain or cable. I have some big chain but would think the little stretch in a cable would help??????????????

I used an old length of scrub-pulling chain, or anchor chain. Yep , the 3T sure had a job, pulling that tractor out!. But she do sound luvely !! .. ps.. Mr and Mrs Dewets, the green in picture is from the dam water!. We are in drought here as usual!!. bad for winter!. We are getting used to it!. But hard on the cattle.

This usually works well when you have a big Cat pulling a small one. Where it gets fun is when you get your biggest Cat stuck and you don't have anything big to pull with or hook on to. Dun there, been that.

I got my D4 stuck in the mud the other day. Behind my Cat, I parked my 1 ton dump truck loaded of gravel, chained to my 4WD John Deere 3520, and chained to my Yukon 4wd. Using my D4's winch cable to the dump truck, I skidded all three of them at once toward the mud hole. After that, I put the D4 into reverse and engaged both the winch and the tracks at the same time. It was touch and go, but the D4 soon joined the rest of them on dry ground. That Cat winch has a lot of pull. If you can find something solid to hook to, something is going to move.
