D2 Tool Bar Dozer was created by compressor
Just aquired new d2 with tool bar dozer. My problem is some of the pins are a little loose.What would be the best way to repair these.
I thought maybe welding and redrilling or? Any ideas would be appreciated.
Also,why are these so narrow compared to an 2A blade.Wonder how hard it would be to extend the blade 6" or so on each side.Any thoughts?

D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time:D

The angle blade has to be wider so it will still be wider than the C frame when it's angled. The straight dozers are just wide enough to keep the push arms from rubbing the side of the cut (and they still do anyway).

tb hardware not hd as angle or straight blade tractors. made for rear tb work. i'd keep original.

I rebored my toolbar blade pin holes oversized to make round again. Then I made new pins to fit them. Good thing the D2 toolbar blade isn't very heavy because I just clamped it onto the table of my horizontal milling machine and supported the other end with the forklift to do the boring. I did the side arms ends and diagonal boss the same way.I guess the easier way is a portable boring bar if you have one.

I have bored them out on a bridgeport mill by swinging the head so it was located just at the end of the table, then I put the push arms onto the machine and clamped them down. The main thing is to get the load balanced onto the table.
