Question:

When were the following machines made (beginning & ending years)?

Best 25
Best "humpback" 30
Best "8-16"

Also, anybody have any good photos of these 3 models??

Any help answering these questions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you Caterpillarman! Very helpful.

Now, when was the Best 120 discontinued? Production of the 120 was started in 1916. GWH

George,

On page 254 of Jack Alexander's Caterpillar's Roots, he quotes a 9/26/1917 CL Best Traction Co memo stating "Owing to the demand for the '40' and '75' Tracklayers we have discontinued construction of all other models." Jack's book has the most complete information on the Best 120 (and most other models) that I have found. The book also mentions an 8-16 "Pony" prototype being demonstrated in 1915, with production models being built in 1916 and 1917.
