Sorry I'm late to the story Don. I'm impressed with your move up to bigger Yellow Toys. Have fun with it. Hate to miss the BBQ. With being suddenly uinemployed again. The budget is very tight in the travel wishkit. Still planning for Woodland though.

The D8 made it home today:D Got to the tractor {always worried about start up when it is so far away} no problems, it was running before he had the trailer situated, got it loaded and all went smooth on the way back, till the blow out, limped all the way home:eek: then an electrical problem. Then had to start the D8 up on the side of the highway because it had moved just enough {maybe 4"} so that the ripper tires had started to rub against trailer tires. Made it back safe, but I think It took 10 years off my life:D Don

Was the ripper chained down and bounced out of position???
Didn't hear much noise from my place....

Hi Pete, we left Santa Cruz about 5:30 am. We had checked the load a couple times along the way and there was no problem at all with movement. Stopped on 17 for a roadside jake brake repair:eek: and I noticed the ripper had shifted just a bit, not much margin there to work with. Come see the old girl whenever you get a chance. Don

Congratulations, that looks like a fine D8! I understand the feeling when starting up, especially if there is no starter! When we had ours freshly restored last year, and started the pony for the first time, I cranked 'till my arm was twice as long and was so desperate that I would have given my other arm for an electric starter. I then found out there was a problem with the gas line and since then it will start on the second turn. Got it started last week after it stood for 4 months, and I decided to not install an electric starter!
