Thanks Gary,

Yes she's still Pony Start two or three pulls and she fires off. I am told the blade set up is not factory. Does anyone know otherwise? I am going to have a Hyster winch put on and a canopy.

I dont know how much more of this I can stand. Yet I don't want it to stop!

Looks Good :D :D
I don't recognize the blade set up. Does appear to be a really well built shop unit.

This CAT's life was spent on a nursery and was told the front end has agricultural idlers. The blade was probably custom for its life there I'm guessing.

That is a very interesting blade on your dozer. I have a D47U with a Bros dozer ( sold with the dozer by CAT) that is set up very similar with a tool bar that wraps around the dozer and an angle dozer that adjusts by pulling pins that go through the tool bar. It also has the hydraulic cylinders at a similar angle. Looks like you got a great deal. The only down side to a crawler is how easy they will slide sideways on snow or ice if run on a sidehill. You can really push a lot of snow with the angle dozer. Have fun.

That looks like a LaConte Bros. blade by the trunion and lift system. They were located in Modesto, CA and built custom blades back in the '60's and '70's I believe. Most of their blades were just straight with no tilt but in later years they made them to angle.

Actually I think they bought old farm Cats, built blades for them and sold them as dozers.
