Since my interest is much more casual than most of the folks here I'm not sure I'm ready for a membership, but having had a look around and seeing some of the video footage linked here I think it's great that you folks are preserving and restoring these machines! I have learned a great deal in the little time I've been here, so you are really doing a great educational service. I look forward to seeing the archives pages when they are available, as one of the things that surprised me was the sizing differences between the different models - relative scale is very difficult to judge from shots of a single machine. Are they going to make the D9D & D9E with push blades, ripers, pipe layers & other atachments? It would be nice to see them make the D9G, D9H, D9L & up.

Well I just got my D2 orchard model, and was kind of surprised at how small it is compared to some of my other crawlers. Am I correct in assuming that the Twenty Two and Twenty will be even smaller? Don't get me wrong, it is a cool model, but my Oliver and JD tractors dominate it...

Is there anything behind the rear shrouds where the air cleaner is? They look removable.

It would be nice to see some of the bigger Cats in 1/16, but only if the detail level is up to current Speccast standards (ie real wires, not cast).

Might as well ask while I'm here - what does the 5U designation mean?

4U is narrow gage, wide gage is 5U.
