Hello all
I have a Cat service press double acting puller type. We always called them a pancake. It is part number 7F9540. I believe it is a 30 ton. Do any of you happen to have any tech info on it. I'm looking for cylinder diameter and rod diameter. I'm trying to figure the displacement tonnage when used with a 10,000 lb O.T.C. pump (how many pounds equals how many ton) Thanks in advance..................

I show it in the Cat service tools as a 30 ton, 10,000 psi max. working pressure unit, along with parts breakdown but it does not give either piston rod or cylinder diameters. It is a stepped cylinder/rod so it seems you would have to open it up to check the cylinder diameter.

Here is a decal/chart for a Cat 30 ton double acting hollow cylinder, the numbers for the psi to tons should be the same as yours, these figures are for the rod pushing out, the tonage for pulling in is slightly lower.
