Hello Brian,
If this tractor has an oil clutch then there should be a dipstick somewhere close to the firewall. Transmission may have a dipstick near the gear shift or a check plug on the side of the transmission case. Final drive oil is checked on the lower rear end of the tractor near the drawbar. There will be two plugs back there that require a hex shape wrench to open. You can make one by welding the right size nut on a steel bar.
Start shopping on Ebay for manuals, you should be able to find them there. Operators manual and parts manual are the two most useful for getting started.
If you could post some pictures that would be good.
Also tell us the serial number if you can find it on the rear end of the tractor.
The serial # is 7U42593
All I need to know other than finding a service manual is what/how much goes in the 2 different holes on the operator floor as well as the 2 fillers nears the drawbars in the back, thanks!

my 7U service manual states series 3 oil 30 wt or transmission oil 90 wt (above + 32) for both tranny and final drives
transmission-16 qt, final drive 7 qt each
flywheel clutch series 3 oil 30 wt,10 wt (10 to 32*) 16 qt
you need to study up on the correct terminology so we are talking about the same things!
These capacities are exactly what phildirt posted for you.

Hi Team,
Cat and maybe farm supply outlets etc. sell a relief valve adaptor that relieves the normal hand grease gun pressure so you do not blow out the roller bellows seals--I feel it is in the order of 45-50 psi but I stand to be corrected.
If using a Volume grease pump pot as supplied with the grease roller machines then they usually have built in relief valves.
The roller fittings are Giant Button Head.
As stated the 000 grease used was like corn head grease--very expensive--at The Dealer when the 000 grease was discontinued we made our own by mixing chassis grease and 40- weight TDO4 spec Trans Drive Train Oil until we got the consistency we desired.
Cheers,
Eddie B.

Not to steal '88's thread, or start an oil war, but in regards to greasing the rollers. On these older machines (like my D2), I am assuming any seals in the rollers are not exactly in like new condition. I haven't been able to find cornhead grease or roller lubricant locally, although I'm sure if I looked hard enough someone must carry it. Instead, I have been using a good quality moly grease, and greasing the rollers every time I use the machine. Since the roller bearings are sleeves, I'm assuming the moly grease will distribute itself fully within the contact areas and work effectively. This is a machine that is used only a few hours at a time for farm type grading and such - not mainline construction. I realize the manual calls for roller lubricant, but any opinions or experience with problems using a high quality #2 grease frequently, since it is the only thing readily available?

Do what you're doing, because any grease is better than no grease, and like you wrote, this isn't a production machine. You're not going to harm it. Can't comment on what impact that grease would have on the seals but if they're already toast, the point is moot.
