Nice photos. Thanks for sharing. It looks to be in pretty straight shape too. D9Gs are one of my all-time favorite dozers, the others being the Cat D5B wide gauge and the D9N.

I could be mistooken but if'n mine aging eyeballs don't deceive me, it's not surprising that your D9G has a fairly light footprint on hard ground with them double grousers.

good morning Deas, I did not know that's why the light print but yes i was told the grousers are half the width of normal. something about longer wear life being the reason.

Funny you mentioned that GG as I was looking through the Custom Track Service Handbook addition to the library from Bruce C. last night and it made multiple mentions of how one should select the narrowest grousers that will provide the required flotation, because that will help minimize damage caused by off-center loading.
