Hi, Folks.
I know it's short notice but there is a rally weekend at the South Coast Restoration Society's grounds at 193 Rifle Range Road, Pimpama, Gold Coast, Queensland, this coming weekend, 28-29 July, from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm both days.
The theme for the earthmoving display, a working display, will be scrapers in operation and the field population will be mainly Cats. I'm told there will be a D2 pulling a 'tumblebug', a Cat D7E with a LeTourneau LP, a Cat D7 3T with a LeTourneau cable rooter, another Cat D7E doing duty as a push-cat, possibly a Cat DW15 scraper, a LeTourneau Super C 'widowmaker' with LP and maybe a single drive #10 Auto Patrol. There may also be an IH TD24 and/or a LeTourneau wheeled dozer. Who knows what else might blow in?
My 'ride' is the 3T D7 with the cable rooter but I may also be running the Super C LeTourneau because the owner is fresh out of hospital after two fairly serious operations and is hardly likely to feel up to pulling those levers.
All are welcome and there is lots more to see besides the earthmoving display.
Eats and drinks are available on the grounds.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
