Theft protection for the D2...

Someone e-mailed this picture to me a while back (and I forget who).

This was taken at Rough & Tumble.

Would you dare try and steal that D2 and take a chance of getting your ankles gnawed by that vicious looking Dachshund ?!?!?!

SJ my money is on REGGIE I've seen lots of DOG teams pulling but no CAT teams. Although I have a MANX that is about as big as Reggie, haven't hiched him up YET.:p :p :D

I'll tell you what? If you see "Reggie" Pulling your D2 down the road.
That would be one dog I would not want to mess with!!!:)

Marco,
I could only guess at those questions - as I don't have any factual information.

You Wrote 1:
how rare is the d2 with blade?? how many were made?
Answer:
My guess is that half of them had blades - judging by the ones I've seen.

You Wrote 2:
how many were made?
Answer:
Someone help me out here... 12,000 + / -

You Wrote 3:
what price compare to one without blade??
Answer:
The overall condition determines the price more than anything.
So, you could have an inexpensive unit WITH a blade (in poor condition) or an expensive unit WITHOUT a blade (in good condition).

It all depends...

Bill,

In the UK less than 10% of the D2's have blades, as most of the tractors were imported for agricultural use as base tractors.
Most colectors want to own a D2 with a blade in the UK, so that they can play in the dirt.
I would imagine that this will be the same in Holland, as you said, condition is everything regarding the price.
